Catalpa Plantation is a 16 acre plantation in Newnan, Georgia. It was orginally known as the Goodwyn-Bailey Plantation and we one of the largest, most prosperous plantation in the City of Homes.

The farm is the oldest standing plantation, and was built in 1835 est. The building itself boasts large spacious rooms with 10-11' ceilings , plaster walls and original wood floors. Although the home was updated it keeps its original feel with a formal dining room, men's study, and sitting room as well as three huge bedrooms. The kitchen/keeping room are in the back of the home. 

 

This amazing home has 6 porches, 8 fireplaces and a summer kitchen in the lowest level of the home.  There are 6 doors leading to the outside to each of the porches for easy filming.

 

The property has a huge open fields, a pecan grove, well house, pool, very large pond (small lake) with gazebo/dock, many out buildings (buggy house, garage, two barns, chicken house, cotton shed, pool shed, sauna, basketball court, pine grove, woods and much more.

 

This beautiful property comes with ample space for storage, parking (extra parking next door), and true old time ambiance.  There are beautiful sunsets, and vistas from every window.

 

We also have an 1973 airstream available for use.

 

We offer great flexibility for filming at our location.  We just ask the property is returned in the same shape (or better) than before the filming.

We do have some farm animals (chickens and pigs that should not be disturbed - we can move them for a price.
